KSP Investigating Harlan County Murder

  • {Kentucky}...A body found at an abandoned strip mine site in eastern Kentucky has been identified as 23 year old James Feltner of Lynch, in Harlan County, who was last seen alive July 15th. The body was found by ATV riders Monday in the Blair community. Kentucky State Police Trooper Shane Jacobs says Feltner had been shot, and the case is being investigated as a murder. Kentucky State Police are requesting information pertaining to the murder weapon, a black AR-15 with a stainless-steel barrel, of which Feltner had earlier possession. Police say it may be somewhere in the Cumberland area and was likely sold/traded or disposed of on or after July 15th.
