Murder Trial Set For Perry County Men

  • {Kentucky}...Lester Keith Hurt, 46, of Bonnyman, was in Perry Circuit Court Thursday after being arrested on October 3rd and indicted by the grand jury the following month on a charge of murder. Hurt is accused of using his truck to run down and kill 45 year old Julius Williams during a gathering on an abandoned strip mine near Montgomery Creek in October 2010. He was also accused of ramming another vehicle several times and assaulting another man. A second man in the case, 50 year old Bruce Hurt, also of Bonnyman, was indicted on a count of tampering with physical evidence for allegedly helping Lester Hurt hide the truck police say was involved in the murder. Both men are set for a jury trial in Perry Circuit Court on August 22nd. Commonwealth’s Attorney Teresa Reed announced that no agreement for a guilty plea had been reached at a prior pretrial conference for Lester Keith Hurt.
