Program Helps Floyd, Knott, Martin And Pike County Farmers

  • {Kentucky}...Floyd, Knott, Martin and Pike counties are among 16 statewide that will benefit from a new program offered by the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board. Under the program, the counties will receive state funding to assist in developing shared-use equipment programs where farmers are able to lease certain types of expensive equipment rather than purchasing it. Lease fees will then be used to cover maintenance of the equipment. Combined with other state funding, the program will raise the amount of money available to $15,000. The Application and Guidelines for the Shared-Use Equipment program, which includes a list of eligible equipment, are available at agpolicy.ky.gov or by calling (502) 564-4627.
