Fort Campbell Soldier Faces Court-Martial

{Kentucky}...The military said in a statement Tuesday that an investigating officer has recommended that charges of premeditated murder be referred to a court-martial for Sgt. Brent Burke, a Fort Campbell military policeman accused in the 2007 slayings of his estranged wife and her former mother-in-law in. Burke's estranged wife, Tracy Burke, and Karen Comer were found shot to death in Comer's home in Rineyville area of in Hardin County in September 2007. A civilian judge dismissed the charges against Burke after a prosecutor cited evidence problems with the case, and the military filed charges against him less than two weeks later. Kentucky civilian prosecutors tried unsuccessfully to convict him in criminal court. No trial date has been set.
