Indictments Unsealed In Ashland Chop Shop Case
{Kentucky}...Boyd County Sheriff Terry Keelin says officers found a chop shop while investigating an Ashland shooting in 2007. Federal prosecutors said in a statement Friday that the shop was at the center of a multi-state ring that profited about $2.5 million, but the FBI, which had been investigating the theft of motorcycles, couldn't find the chop shop. Eight defendants have been indicted for money laundering and other charges for their alleged involvement in the ring that operated from 2000 to 2008. They each face a maximum sentence of 20 years. The indictments were unsealed last week.
