(Pike County) Upper Coon Creek Road, KY 3418, will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. all next week, August 22-26. Rodney Branham explained that a crew will be drilling to repair embankment failures that occurred during the flood in July 2010. The exact site of the work is between mile points 9.145 and 9.357, before the hill that leads to Ridgeline Road. Work on the road will not start until 9 o'Jclock each morning, and will stop at 3 o'clock each afternoon. Branham said that the drilling equipment takes up more than one lane. It takes 20-30 minutes to set up the equipment and the same amount of time to break it down and move it. The road will re-open each evening when that day's work is finished and close the next morning when work resumes.
