Arraignment Set In Knott County Murder

{Pine Top, Kentucky}...Twenty-nine year old Shauna Sloan Lopez of Melvin is scheduled to be arraigned in Knott District Court Tuesday on charges of murder, first degree robbery, and tampering with physical evidence in the death of 60 year old Ruby Slone of Mallie. At 11:45 A.M. Saturday, Kentucky State Police at Hazard received a call that a body was lying beside Steer Fork Road in the Pine Top community. Police say Slone was found dead of an apparent gun shot wound. Lopez is being held at the Kentucky River Regional Jail on a one-million dollar cash bond.
