E-Warrant Ready In Pike County

{Pikeville, Kentucky}...Officials say around 13,000 warrants lay in the Pike County Clerk's office waiting to be served, some more than ten years old. Starting Wednesday, the new e-warrant computer system will help. With an e-warrant, an officer can now stop someone and search a database, and any officer in Kentucky will know if a person has a warrant. Pike County District Judge Kelsey Friend, Jr. says officers will not be three days behind on a search for a criminal who might commit other offenses in the time it takes to get a warrant in the old system.
