UMG Takes Over Salyersville Water Board

{Salyersville, Kentucky}...Officials in Salyersville say the city's water district is nearly $200,000 in debt, and it is losing money every day. After almost being taken over by the state, Utility Management Group has stepped in to make some big changes and bring them out of the red. Officials say UMG has already made significant changes, including finding ways to save nearly $38,000 a year in employee overtime. Salyersville Mayor James "Pete" Shepherd says UMG has helped make the water quality in Salyersville better as well.
