Disaster Recovery Centers Open

{Frankfort, Kentucky}...Friday, the Federal Emergency Management Agency declared Lawrence County a disaster area. Those affected by the recent tornado now may get help from FEMA by registering by phone at 800-621-3362. A disaster relief center has not yet been established in the Lawrence County area, according to a news release from the Kentucky State Police. Those needing assistance may visit the center located at 232 Preston St., Paintsville. A disaster recovery center has opened in West Liberty at the Kentucky Housing  Corporation on Highway 7. A disaster recovery center opened Sunday at the Menifee County Fire Station 1 at 44 McCausey Ridge Road in Frenchburg. They will be open seven days a week until further notice.
