Highway Construction In Pike County

{Pike County, Kentucky}...Motorists driving state routes KY 80 and KY 195 will face one-lane traffic on one and long delays on the other as construction season gears up in Pike County this week. New US 460 work at the mouth of Beaver (KY 1373) on KY 80 near Elkhorn City will reduce traffic to one lane all week, Monday, March 26th, through Friday, March 30th. The contractor, Hi-View, will be clearing trees adjacent to the highway near the entrance to Beaver Creek. Shawn Ray of Highway District 12 says tree removal will be under way between 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. and then again between 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. On KY 195 at mile point 11.1 near the mouth of Marrowbone on the US 460 side, motorists should expect delays of 30-45 minutes or more. To avoid the delays, said Elmer Keathley of Shelby Maintenance, Highway District 12, people who need to travel through this work area should take an alternate route, if possible.
