Letcher County Officials Focus On Synthetic Drugs

{Whitesburg, Kentucky}...The Letcher County Sheriff's Office is hoping the postal service will help in their effort to stop the in-flow of synthetic drugs and bath salts into their communities. Letcher County Sheriff Danny Webb says people have started ordering bath salts on the Internet, and it's coming in packages to the post office. Detectives in Letcher County ordered $1,000 worth of bath salts from a company in Texas to try to track the address. Sheriff Webb says postal inspector will confiscate packages and send a letter that says there may be a substance in the package that has been banned by the FDA or DEA.
