UPike Announces Future President

{Pikeville, Kentucky}...UPike Board of Trustees Chairman Terry Dotson has announced that current Vice President James Hurley will take over as UPike President in July 2013, when former Governor Paul Patton steps down. Dotson says school officials met in February and again in May to discuss who will lead the university after Patton, who won't be leaving the university but will move to the position of chancellor, where he can help with fundraising, government relations and other issues. Hurley will be the first graduate of the school to become its president.
