Man Coming Up For Parole

{Whitesburg, Kentucky}... Samuel Collier has served nearly two years of a 10 year sentence after being convicted of manslaughter in the October 7, 2010 shooting death of 48 year old Mark Sturgill in Letcher County. Sturgill was walking his dog when Collier fired shots leaving both Sturgill and his dog Jake dead. A victim hearing will be held with the parole board July 16th. Collier is up for parole in September. Sturgill's wife, Melissa Sturgill, is petitioning Samuel "Todd" Collier's parole in more ways than one. With a couple hundred signatures and nearly 200 likes on Facebook, Melissa believes she is well on her way to insuring justice is served for her husband.
