KSP Prepare For Labor Day Weekend

{Frankfort, Kentucky}...This year, Kentucky State Police say 471 people have died in crashes. That’s 5 more than during the same time last year. Kentucky State Police expect to see a lot of vehicles on the roads this Labor Day weekend. I-75 will be targeted because of its heavy traffic volume but police also say they’ll look at areas where there’s been a lot of DUI crashes. Despite the higher number of deadly crashes this year, the 2012 death toll is actually less than previous years. State police statistics show that in 2008, 2009, and 2010, more than 500 people had been killed in accidents.
