KENTUCKY QUICK REVIEW

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky's second confirmed case this year of West Nile virus comes from Jefferson County. The first case was reported in Henry County. Federal health officials say there is four times the usual number of cases in a West Nile outbreak nationwide.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The mother of a western Kentucky woman who vanished in the mid-1990s while sunbathing on an Ohio River beach hasn't given up hope of solving the mystery. Sarah Teague thinks her daughter Heather's abductor is still on the loose. Sunday marks the 17th anniversary of her disappearance.

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Indiana residents who could pay the bulk of new tolls on Ohio River bridges leading to Kentucky say they want a voice on the agency setting those rates. None of the 15 members of the two groups that will have seats on the panel are from southern Indiana, and only 3 are from the Louisville, Ky., area.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The race between Democratic U.S. Rep. Ben Chandler and Republican challenger Andy Barr has gone negative with recent attack ads. Republicans have been trying to connect Chandler to what they consider an anti-coal agenda by the White House. Chandler has countered with an ad attacking proposed tax for millionaires.
