Police Dog Visits Floyd County Schools

{Prestonsburg, Kentucky}...The Prestonsburg Police Department and Floyd County Schools are working together to fight drug abuse. Lieutenant Storm, a dog trained to sniff out narcotics, is taken into the schools five times a month. Storm's handler Aaron Blevins says he finds marijuana, heroine and meth. However, no drugs were found during Thursday's search. Storm has been a member of the Prestonsburg Police force for more than two years. School officials say it is not a tactic used to scare students but rather to help them learn about the dangers of using drugs.
