Man Charged With DUI for Crash That Injured 5

A Pike County man is facing several charges after police say he caused a crash that injured five people.

Police say 29-year-old David Bailey was driving a car with three children in the backseat Tuesday morning when he rear ended a pickup driven by Colette Jarrell on U.S. 23 near Penny Road.

All three children, Jarrell and a female passenger in Bailey's car were taken to the hospital with injuries.

Bailey was the only person not injured in the crash.

Police say Bailey admitted to taking multiple medications before the crash.

He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, endangering the welfare of a minor and traffic charges.
