Non-Traditional School Days in Pike County

Pike County School Systems will be conducting Non-Traditional School Days.

Whether it be due to weather or sickness, if Pike County students miss a day of school, the Board of Education can now implement a Non-Traditional School Day.
The Pike County Board of Education’s District Innovative Coordinator, Mary Beth Stiltner says, "This is exciting because this will be a day of school we don't have to make up."

According to Pike County Schools Superintendent David Lester, Non-Traditional Instruction creates a culture of learning that meets the needs of individual students by using effective instructional strategies and increasing student engagement.
