Official Installation Ceremony for the Newly Elected Pike County Officials

The Quadrennial Inaugural Ceremony for the newly elected Pike County Officials was held today.

The official installation ceremony for state, county, and municipal officials elected in November, 2014 to serve in Pike County, Pikeville, Elkhorn City and Coal Run Village was held in the Alumni Auditorium at Pikeville High School at 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday.

Newly elected Pike County Judge Executive Bill Deskins says, "I want to do the best job I can, but after looking into some numbers, and numbers don't lie, we've got some chores to do to get things worked out."

Former Governor and current Chancellor of the University of Pikeville, Paul E. Patton, says he is happy everyone is united and can come together. He added that the local government is what effects your everyday life and everyone should take this responsibility as a personal responsibility.

This was the second official installation ceremony to take place at Pikeville High School.
