Big Sandy Community and Technical College will offer an industry-leading food service training and certification program on its Prestonsburg and Pikeville campuses.
BSCTC’s Workforce Solutions will hold the ServSafe training and certificate program on January 31st and February 7th on its Prestonsburg campus. Each class will run from 8 a.m. to noon.
The course is designed to develop an understanding of the basic principles of food sanitation and safety, and how to apply them in food service operations. Topics covered in the course include: food safety regulations, flow of food through operation, food safety management systems, facilities management and employment training.
