woman accused of deliberately making her 9-year-old son sick by contaminating
his IV with fecal matter at a
hospital has rejected a proposed plea agreement and wants to go to trial. Cincinnati
A court official says 35-year-old Candida Fluty turned down the proposal at a hearing Wednesday in
County Common Pleas Court in . No trial date has been set. Ohio
Fluty is charged with felonious assault and child endangering. Authorities say fecal matter put in the boy's IV caused his fever to spike.
Prosecutors say the boy has a condition affecting the bowels and requiring numerous surgeries. He was hospitalized in January when authorities say fecal matter was put in the IV.
