judges announced their
retirement Monday effective June 30. West Virginia
Judge Roger Perry of Logan and Mingo County Magistrate Pam Newsome have decided to end their terms.
Perry, 65, cited health issues in a letter of resignation to Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin. The Neibert native was elected in 1992 and was re-elected in 2000 and 2008.
Newsome, 55, has worked in the
system for 30 years. She was a magistrate assistant in West Virginia
until she was elected magistrate for the first time in 1997. Mingo County
