On Tuesday, May 19, Election Day will be in full swing for the bluegrass state. Kentucky will be holding primary races on the ballot for state constitutional officers, such as governor and attorney general.
Although the importance of the election is high, interest in the races appears to be low. Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes predicted as few as 10 percent of Kentuckians to head out to the polls on Tuesday and hopes her prediction turns out to be low.
Polls will be open this Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Afterwards, EKB-TV and the radio stations of East Kentucky Broadcasting will announce the results once the votes are tallied.
