The Pikeville-Pike County Museum will be more secure before its grand opening in September. The Pike County Fiscal Court has purchased six new security systems to be installed in each room of the museum. Executive Director Polly Hopkins says this will help the museum collect more valuable items to display.
The new security system will allow someone to keep watch of each room at all times. It will also allow for museum members to record and store files in case anyone needs to go back and look over records.
