JOHNSON COUNTY – September 1, 2015 – Highway District 12’s Johnson County Maintenance Crew plan to replace a cross drain that runs under the road at mile point 1.8 on KY 3390, Hammond Road, on Thursday, September 3.
Motorists should plan to take alternate routes during this time. Replacing a cross drain involves cutting a trench in the asphalt across both lanes of the roadway. The old drain is removed, the new one installed, and the pavement replaced. The work takes a full day to complete.
Work will start about 8 o’clock in the morning. The road will be closed to all traffic until about 4:30 p.m.
