Delbarton man pleads guilty to federal charge

A Mingo County man pleaded guilty in federal court to lying when buying a gun, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin announced November 3.
In April 2010, Gene Brinager, 52, of Delbarton, while buying two guns from a federally licensed firearms dealer, lied about being addicted to pills on his form.
According to the news release, Brinager was addicted to opiate pills. He faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced Feb. 4.
