KY 1100 in Floyd County will close on Friday, November 13, and will not reopen until Sunday, November 15. The road will be closed at Davis Branch, mile point 2.184.
The road closure is necessary to replace a large culvert which was damaged during the August 2014 flood. This work is part of a FEMA repair project.
Although the weather forecast calls for skies to be clear, Highway District 12 Section Engineer Matthew Moore said that if heavy rain occurs, the work will be rescheduled. If that happens, a new announcement will be made prior to the road being closed.
Moore said that Hinkle Environmental Services was the low bid contractor on the project.
