(AP) — Kentucky officials
say jobless rates rose in 109 counties between December 2014 and December 2015.
The state Office
of Employment and Training said Thursday that unemployment rates fell in six Kentucky counties
during that span and stayed the same in five more.
Woodford
County had the state's lowest jobless rate at 3.5 percent. It was
followed by Oldham County at 3.8 percent, Fayette and Spencer counties at 3.9
percent each and Shelby County at 4.1 percent.
Magoffin
County had the state's highest unemployment rate at 15.5 percent. It
was followed by Wolfe County at 12.4 percent, Elliott and Letcher counties at
11.8 percent each and Harlan County at 11.6 percent.
